the sculpture series »der himmel auf erden« contrasts the discrepancy between the preservation and usability of the krefelds public swimming baths with some of the inevitable dilemmas of human existence.
the formerly prominent monument can no longer fulfill its function, but should be preserved and remain a place of public gathering. In the outdoor pool, which is already overgrown by nature, floating sculptures have been placed that give the location a new function: that of an exhibition space. instead of humans, self-reflective dilemmas now swim here, which, in their holiday character, ironically question the ambivalent ideals of man himself.
