what do we consider real? the historic prussian palace? the ruinous traces left by bomb impacts? or its cultural reinterpretation as the palace of the republic? the demolition? or ultimately the faithful historical reconstruction?
reality itself no longer exists.

like the berlin palace, it is above all hyperrealities — those that confront us in a digital, fast-paced, and ephemeral way — that seem impossible to reconcile with, or anchor within, our physically constructed reality. temporal asynchronicity describes the displacement between events, activities, or processes that would normally exist in coordinated harmony. just as the palace does not seem to be in harmony with its time, the intervention refers to diverse temporalities. it remembers without forgetting the time in which we live.
